No. 31. No. 2626. Print reads, "This handsome structure, built entirely of Georgia marble, faces on beautiful Wright Park in the center of the business section. On the rear corner of the building may be found a plate marking the location where John Wesley held regular services from May 9, 1736 to November 27, 1737." The building was substantially enlarged between 1930 and 1932 when it was extended north to encompass the remainder of the block. It is currently a court facility. Message on back: PJB 12/9/41. No. A-14104. Print reads, "Savannah is rich in historical lore, is a city of 92,000 people and is known for its beautiful buildings, semi-tropical verdure, 24 municipal parks and 100 mile boulevard chain, nine suburban resorts, golf and outdoor sports, modern hotels and varied amusements. The climate is ideal, the city is both winter and summer resort, and the Atlantic Ocean contributes surf bathing unexcelled in the South, it is indeed "Savannah, the Southern Key to Land and Sea.". The structure, originally designated as the U.S. Post Office and Courthouse, was later renamed the Federal Building and U.S. Courthouse. By July 30 1899, all departments of the post office were in the new government building. It also housed the U.S. Courts, the U.S. Engineers, and the U.S. Weather Bureau.  Message on the back: Dear Mrs. Gable. will write you as soon as I feel better.
