<text>Post card of the New Post Office in West Palm Beach, Florida. No. 47. No. 1582N. Photo by Sanderson. Located at 400-416 South Olive Street, the US Federal Building and Post Office was built between July 1936 and May 1, 1937. It was razed in 1979 to make way for affordable housing as the St. James Residence. It was used as a post office and government offices, but it was never used as a courthouse. West Palm Beach is a modern city, metropolitan and cosmopolitan enough to offer every facility, accommodation and amusement, yet lacking the roar and struggle of the great city. To the east is Lake Worth, a salt water tidal lake of great beauty. Message on back: West Palm Beach, Feb. 5, 1939. Dear Ann Reg & Nana. Well today is very warm. Only wish I could send some of it home. Hope Ann you are feeling OK. and sure would love to hear from you. How is Reg has he see a Dr. yet he better had. Love from both of us. Mr. & Mrs. Reg. Pearce. Brells N.J. Postmarked Feb. 5, 1939 with a one cent stamp.</text>
