Located at 220 North Beach Street, it was built in 1932 as a work project in the Depression. It was built in the Spanish Mediterranean Revival style and the architect was Harry M. Griffin. The new post office is built of Florida Key Stone in Spanish-Renaissance architecture. The lobby is of Tennessee marble and faces the mile-long Riverfront Park. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places on Jun. 30, 1988.</text>
