One of the most pretentious Post Office Buildings in the United States. Floor space totals more than 5 acres and will have some 200 Federal office units. Located next to the Spring Street Terminal, mail was transferred by a railroad network. It later became a Federal office building although never an "official" courthouse.  The Court of Appeals relocated to this location from March 20, 1985, until March 16, 1987, for renovations.
