The building was abandoned about 1932 then exchanged in 1938 for Escambia County land where the U.S. Post Office and Courthouse was built. Later used as the "new" Escambia County courthouse. Now houses various county offices. It is located at 223 South Palafox Street. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places on July 22, 1997.
