The new federal building was constructed of Key Largo limestone. When completed in September 1932, the Customs House, Post Office and US Court moved in. The Lighthouse Department remained in the old building. In use by the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida. It was renamed the Sidney M. Aronovitz United States Courthouse for the US District Judge. It was entered on the National Register of Historic Places on Feb. 24, 1983.
