Post card of the US Post Office in Anniston, AL. No. 20768. No. 20. Anniston, "The Pearl of the South", nestled amid the foothills of the Appalachian Range of the Blue Ridge Mountains, ranks fourth in the State's industrial centers, and is located in the brown ore district, surrounded by a rich mineral, agricultural and forest area. A two-story rear addition and full basement was built in 1934. The post office relocated in 1962. The building was renovated in 1963-1964. In use.
